Wow! Exactly one year has passed since I began this blog on Classic Songs and I can’t believe that a whole year has flown by so quickly! And it’s been a tumultuous year to say the least. There have been great times where I have been very motivated to write good quality articles and in addition, not-so-great times where the motivation and spark was not there to write articles for my beloved audience. But hey, that’s life! Life is full of ups and downs. In my opinion, it’s all about managing those downs so that you bounce back up as quickly as possible.
If someone had told me a year ago that this blog would be getting approximately 6,000 unique visitors every month just one year later, then I would have told them that they were crazy. It gives me great satisfaction and pleasure that I have been able to build such an audience while simply communicating and sharing my passion for Classic Songs. I hope you have enjoyed the articles and materials I have provided on this blog over the last 12 months.
The Future
The success that I have enjoyed with this blog has only made me willing to continue writing and improve the materials and resources I can provide to my visitors. As a result, I have HUGE plans for this website.
Here’s a little taste of what you can look forward to in the next 3 or so months.
- Blog re-design: in the next week or so, expect some big changes in the design and aesthetics of the blog. I believe that the current design has become somewhat stale and there is a need for a fresh look.
- More materials: in the next month or so, I will be putting up more ebooks and other resources for your pleasure. Most of these will be free but some will be paid.
- Forum: I do plan to add a forum to this blog sometime in the future, however, when this actually happens is not confirmed, but I would like to give you all a heads up about this.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for this blog, then I welcome them with open ears. Simply contact me.
New Blog
Finally, just before I finish up, I would like to mention the creation of another blog which will showcase another one of my passions: Classic Movies! It will contain articles and other materials on some of the greatest movies ever made. I thought the first year anniversary of this blog would be a perfect time to launch another one. If this is also your own passion, I invite you to visit my blog for articles in the following months.
