Today I’ve decided to write about something a bit different: Piano Ballads. Normally, I write about a particular song on my mind or about a compilation I’ve put together. However, today will be a bit different.
Why?
Because I feel like it. In life, you have to mix and match things because if you don’t, life can only get boring and stale. And nobody wants that (I hope you don’t).
So, today I’m going to talk about Piano Ballads or you may know them as Piano Love Songs. If you’re not quite sure what I’m talking about, I’m referring to piano versions of some of your favourite ballads. That is, there are no lyrics in these versions.
The piano love songs I’m referring to have nothing to do with classical pianists and composers such as Mozart, Beethoven or Strauss. These are all modern, contemporary ballads, which fit in with the subject of this website.
Relaxing Music
Last week, I re-discovered Piano Ballads by digging through some old CDs that had been kept in a small cupboard in my family home. I had listened to these years ago but had forgotten about them in recent times. What I found is that piano love songs are a great form of relaxing music.
So relaxing that I’ve been using them frequently to study. I also listen to them to relax at home on my bed or elsewhere. They’re very tranquil and never cease to calm any nerves.
The other great thing about listening to piano versions of ballads is that it makes you realize how great the melody actually is. Quite often, I find that the lyrics take my attention away from the song’s melody. Listening to these Piano Ballads has made me appreciate and fall in love with these songs even more.
Download Piano Ballads
If you’ve never heard or appreciated Piano Ballads, I invite to download the songs below because I can guarantee that you will enjoy them. These are piano based versions of some of the greatest love songs ever composed.
Just in case you’re wondering, these are not piano based recordings from renowned pianist Richard Clayderman. In fact, I’m not quite sure who they were recorded by because I found them on some old CD from years ago. Hence, I am not sure whether someone will claim copyright over these recordings. If you would like to claim copyright over these recordings, simply email me and I will promptly remove these recordings from this website.
However, for the time being, they’re free for everyone to download and enjoy.
